The video is presented in widescreen 1080 HD and is encoded in VC-1 at around 10 Mbps while the audio is encoded in Dolby Digital 2.0 at 192 Kbps. Visually speaking, the fleshtones were not as optimal since the indoor scenes made the skin look orange-yellow while the outdoor scenes suffered from light flooding making the entire image overexposed. However, there were no noticeable irregularities like pixelation or visual noise. As far as the sound is concerned, the dialogue as well as the sex sounds came in clear and distinct except for Nikki and Meggan’s scene where the sound was a bit muffled.
The extras, which are all in HD, include six edited bonus scenes across the Brand New Faces spectrum (BNF 1 with Courtney James, BNF 1 with Ruby Ryder, BNF 2 with Phoenix Marie, BNF 7 with Jean LaConia, and BNF 7 with Sasha Sin), a ~23 minute BTS, trailers, and a nice photo gallery using the Ken Burns effect. The biggest pet peeve for the bonus scenes is that they are shortened and that’s too bad because I would have liked to see the scene buildup rather than the in media res fucking. The bonus scene that stood out was Jean LaConia’s as well as Ruby Ryder’s scene that ends with a well placed facial! The BTS was not really as interesting as I thought it would be and is somewhat kind of disappointing since I was expecting more interview footage from both Nikki and Meggan since they are contract stars!

Visually speaking, the fleshtones were accurate throughout except with Ruby Ryder’s scene where it was slightly off due to flooding of light. There were no noticeable visual noise or pixelation problems. As far as the audio is concerned, the dialogue as well as the sex sounds were clear without any audio distortions.
The extras include two bonus scenes both from Sunny Loves Matt, a ~ 19 minute BTS, a good photo gallery using the Ken Burns effect, and several trailers. It’s great that all the special features are in HD! It appears that Vivid has decided to edit out the tease sequences for both scenes. It’s too bad because the first scene had a very nice tease where Sunny is wearing a pink dress and doing some light house cleaning. Furthermore, the other scene had Sunny Leone and Monique Alexander wearing hot club clothes before stripping down to their sexy bikinis. The BTS is worth watching if you want to see gratuitous shots of Sunny Leone’s body, especially her tits! In the BTS, we get to see Sunny having a craving to make her boobs jump up and down. Furthermore, she talks about what excites her and her work on her website. In addition, I would have liked to see more of Mindy Main in the BTS instead of Ruby Ryder.

However, the addition of the two bonus Sunny Leone scenes more than make up for their shortcomings. This Blu-ray deserves a HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Murder and Mayhem in Vivid’s ‘Miles From Needles’

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Director B. Skow’s new Vivid feature Miles From Needles stars contract girl Savanna Samson in a scenario that plays like an homage to ’70s roughie porn and exploitation flicks.
“Savanna plays a girl who is in a lesbian relationship behind her boyfriend’s back,” Skow begins. “The boyfriend catches them in bed together and forces the girlfriend to watch him fuck Savanna - it’s a really intense scene. They wind up killing him, freaking out and taking off - just driving. They end up 10 miles outside of Needles, California on the highway where they get pulled over by a cop, played by Evan Stone. He arrests them, but it turns out he’s not really a cop - he and Kimberly Kane are two freaks who take them to their lair.”
